A Trip to the Countryside: A Comedy Showcase

About the Evening

On Friday, May 2nd, five Burlington-based comics will be escaping the busy city and coming on over to Middlebury’s Town Hall Theater to perform a night of standup comedy.

Hosted by Keziah Wilde, these comics will be bringing the house down in the newly opened Doug and Debby Anderson studio in the new wing of THT. The Hare and the Dog bar, stationed in Jean’s Place Lounge (within the new wing) will open at 7pm, so come, get a drink, and hang out before the show starts at 8pm!
During this Trip to the Countryside, you’ll get to see Donovin Andronico, Holly Bahnsen, Tal Friedman, Brian Thompson, and Nic Sisk, all of whom got their start at the Vermont Comedy Club and now perform all around Vermont and the Northeast.
Many of these comics host shows of their own around the Burlington area and have been finalists in the Vermont’s Funniest Comedian competitions. You won’t want to miss this chance to see them in Middlebury!

Meet The Comedians

Tal Friedman

Tal Friedman is a Burlington-based comic. They produce and host a queer comedy show called “Strapped-In!” at the Vermont Comedy Club. In their free time, they’re bothering their friends with insufferable dad jokes.

Brian Thompsons

Brian Thompsons is a 5’11” cashier at a chocolate store by day and a 6’1” standup comic by night. He was a finalist in the Vermonts Funniest Comic contest 2024. In his free time he enjoys not going to college, using stud finders, and magic the gathering.

Donavin Andronaco

Donavin Andronaco is fairly new to the standup scene, but you can find him performing at several venues in the Vermont area.  You’ll most likely see him on open mic night at the Vermont Comedy Club, where he recently opened for Emily Catalano and was a finalist in the Vermont’s funniest comedian competition.

Nic Sisk

Holly Bahnsen

Nic Sisk has been performing standup for over a decade. They have performed at the Women in Comedy Festival and opened for Nikki Glaser and Bob the Drag Queen. They are the co-creator and head writer for Pet Store, a Live Sitcom at Vermont Comedy Club.

Holly Bahnsen is a Vermont artist who sometimes does comedy when peer pressured into it. She has performed throughout Vermont and even weaseled her way onto a show in Copenhagen once just so she can say she has performed internationally, but in reality has no real impressive credits because she’s not very ambitious. She’s just happy to be here.
