Annie the Musical

presented by THT’s Young Company

July 22 and 23

Doug Anderson directs a lively cast of young actors in an imaginative reduced version of the musical Annie. “The sun’ll come out – tomorrow,” sings Little Orphan Annie, the diminutive star of one of Broadway’s biggest musicals.  Annie won the Tony Award for Best Musical in 1977, has played on stages across the world in 28 languages.
Based on the popular comic strip from the 1920’s, the musical follows Annie’s unhappy life in an orphanage and her unlikely charming of the richest man in town, Daddy Warbucks. It’s filled with catchy tunes and humor, “a perfect vehicle,” says Anderson, “for a group of energetic young performers.”
